Meet Your Dissertation Coach

My name is Dean T. Spaulding, Ph.D. I received my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Statistics from the State University of New York/SUNY in 2001. Since then I have been an associate professor and  taught research methods and statistics at the graduate level for 20 years. I have been a grant writer, program evaluator, statistical consultant, and trainer providing professional development. I have also authored or co-authored 7 textbooks in the field and hundreds of technical reports and peer-reviewed articles.  

I have also served as a dissertation consultant and supported hundreds of Ph.D and Ed.D. candidates in successfully completing their dissertation. 

In order to provide you with the highest level of service I only take on a handful of clients at a time and work with those clients until they graduate.

FAQs About Working with a Dissertation Coach

  • $90/hour

  • It’s easy. Go to the calendar and sign up for day and time that works for you.

  • Sessions are held virtually between you and the consultant. Phone sessions are also an option.

  • After your hour session is completed, you will receive an invoice.

  • PayPal and Venmo

  •  The help you receive is entirely up to you and your needs. Need writing help? Need help running your quantitative or qualitative data? Need your SPSS results explained? Need help understanding your committees’ email and what they want you to do? We can do that for you during your session.

  • You can always book back-to-back sessions to extend your time. 

  • Typically that type of work is done “off session” meaning the consultant will review the work that needs to be done, send estimate in an email, once you agree the work will commence.

  • If you are not satisfied with any session, let us know, and you won’t be charged.
